Are you searching for a way to respond to difficult moments in your life with kindness, care, understanding and support? Mindful Self-Compassion (MSC) is an 8 week, evidenced based, training program designed to cultivate the skill of self-compassion. Based on the ground breaking research of Kristin Neff, PhD, and the clinical expertise of Christopher Germer, PhD, MSC teaches core principles and practices that enable the development of self-compassion.

Mindful self-compassion is a resource that can be developed by anyone to promote:

    • Self-kindness (uproots self-criticism and judgment)
    • Mindfulness (relate to our experience with a balance state of awareness)
    • Common humanity (helps us to see we are not alone)

At this experiential Introduction to Mindful Self-Compassion you will be able to:

    • Practice 2-3 self-compassion activities
    • Assess current level of self-compassion vs. compassion for others
    • Describe the components of self-compassion
    • Understand some of the research supported benefits
    • Ask some questions
